Sparta Belfast Set to Battle for UEFA Futsal Champions League Spot

Sparta Belfast are off to Albania to compete in the preliminary round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League! The Northern Irish champions will face Tirana Futsal, KMF Radnik Bijeljina, and Cefn Druids in a four-team mini-tournament.

Sparta Belfast are going to have to put in some serious work here, as they haven't the best record in Europe. Their last game (according to UEFA) ended in a heavy 9-4 defeat to Austrian side, FC Allstars back in 2019, during a preliminary round match. It does however, show they have goals in them!

Before they can even consider reaching the main round of the Champions League, they will face tough opposition from Tirana Futsal, who are the defending Albanian champions. KMF Radnik Bijeljina are also a strong team, and Cefn Druids who will be looking to cause an upset.

The preliminary round matches will be played between the 22 to 27 August. The winners of the group will advance to the main round, where they will face SK Plzen from the Czech Republic, JB Futsal Gentofte from Denmark, and the winners of preliminary round A in Group 6.

Sparta Belfast are determined to make their mark on the Champions League, and they will be looking to start their campaign with a win against KMF Radnik Bijeljina on 23 August. The match, hosted at Tirana Olimpik Park, is sure to be an exciting one, and it will be a great opportunity for Sparta Belfast to show the futsal world what they can do.

Good luck to all, we can't wait to see how you get on. All fixtures will be updated on the UEFA website here.
